Osoyoos 2013

Back from another annual two week vacation in Osoyoos, BC.  Spending time with family, playing board games, at the park, on the beach in the sand or in the water.  Some time was even spent lounging in a chair reading a good book. (Could have used more time for this:)

We did discover a new favorite spot in the campground.  A new place to swing in the trees.  The spot was next to the water with a nice stretch of grass to lounge on while watching the kids giggle, climb and swing.

As usual, another highlight was water sports.  Some enjoyed the tube while it was being dragged behind the boat.  Some simply enjoyed it as it floated along the water's edge.

Amazingly enough, all twenty of us got along for the most part.  We still talk to each other:)  Looking forward to many more family camping trips to Osoyoos.

Biking The Seawall In Vancouver

Never have I had so much fun in Vancouver with my family!  We headed into Vancouver  Saturday morning.  Our truck was loaded with our bikes, picnic lunch and swimming attire.  All the things necessary for a fantastic day in Stanley Park, Vancouver.

We arrived in Vancouver at the perfect time to get the perfect parking near Second Beach.  The place we planned to picnic and swim in after we biked the seawall.  We made our way through the forest of Stanley Park to Prospect Point.  A great place to rest and enjoy the views of the Bay and North Vancouver.  With a few wrong turns, we finally made it to the seawall for our ride back to Second Beach.

One of my wishes was that we would have spent more time biking on the seawall, and less time on the forest paths.  Oh well.  A good reason to go for another ride through Stanley Park again in the future:)

We then spent hours at the gorgeous giant pool at Second Beach.  According to Cayden it was his 'favorite pool ever!'  It certainly was amazing.  Perfectly situated right beside the ocean and with a perfect temperature.  Hours later, I still had to drag the family onto our next stop: Stephos Greek Taverne.

It was there that we finished off the perfect day, with a perfect dinner.  With our bellies full, and our energy sapped, we headed on home.  Smiles on our faces with thoughts on 'the next time'.  When we do it all over again.

Family Photo Dilemna's

The day for our family photo shoot with Jete from Urban Fig Photography is finally here!  I've been back and forth on 'The Location' for the perfect setting for our family.  Wow is it ever tough.  So many options and only one location to choose.

Do we go country?  Urban? Landscape?  My favorite pictures as of late are for certain something on the more modern side.  But, are they overdone?  Railway tracks are cool.  Bridges are also on my favorites list.  Also totally urban and eye catching is a graffiti filled location. But, seems to

If Jeremy had his way we would be leaning against a barn or a fence somewhere.  But I am certain he will like my choice at the end of the day.  The Maze has won my heart for this time around.  Hope that it's as good as I envisioned:)

Next on the list of things to envision is 'The outfit'.  Matching?  Bright?  Patterned?  Again, so many great options.  With a ton of thought, I've finally choses those too.  Bright has won my heart.  Seems like the perfect match with The Maze.

So looking forward to our first family photo shoot in over four years.
